Hearing Protection™. When you think about hearing protection, you
usually think about blocking out all noise, both what you don't want to
hear and, unfortunately, what you do want hear. What if someone were
to invent something that allowed you to block out what you didn't want to
hear but would still let you hear what you want to hear in full
range high fidelity? What would you call it? How about "Smart
Hearing Protection™."
Al Werner, inventor of the Smart Hearing Protection™ system, was faced with exactly the problem mentioned above. As the principle oboist in several Rochester NY area orchestras, he was often faced with the problem of being deafened by the trumpets behind him while hardly being able to hear winds he must blend with on either side of him. Applying his 45 years of inventive experience in electronics, he developed the patent pending Smart Hearing Protection™.
